Blue Iguana was released in China Glaze's Summer 2011 collection--you know, the one that wasn't the metallic crackle lol. It is a really pretty shade of blue with micro flecks of glitter. With tad of purple duo chrome I couldn't capture. Warning with this one, always base coat. Blue Iguana stained =( but a baking soda and lemon juice scrub solved it completely. =)


*3 to for coats to reach a semi-full opacity. This polish is on the sheer side, but in real life VNL (visible nail line) isn't as visible.

I'm currently on the hunt to find a no chip top coat that passes the Home Depot Test."What's the Home Depot Test," you ask? Welp, I work at Home Depot and every other day I come home with chipped nail polish. So, in short if a top coat can make my mani last an 8 hour shift = WINNING! Anyway on to my quickie with Essie.  I went to my local Trade Secret and I stumbled upon Essie Quick-e Drying Drops for--brace yourself--$3, yeah that's right THREE FREAKING DOLLARS! So I bought it. They claim to to dry your nails super fast and help the polish last longer.

I recently took a semester break from college and while I was out I rediscovered my love for all things lacquer. Unfortunately, I found quite a few blogs and Facebook pages with crappy nail art, mangled cuticles, and polish colors that were photographed terribly.
