Ahoy matey! I went shopping on my lunch break and bumped into an unexpected clearance at Beauty Plus Salon and this is the tale of my findings.

 L-R Sunset Sail, Lighthouse, Starboard. All of these are from China Glaze's Anchors Away collection for spring 2011.
Sunset Sail is the perfect nude with a hint of peach.
Lighthouse is a bright glass flecked yellow. In my opinion it could be worn alone with some visible nail line or layered over another yellow creme, white, or silver.
Starboard is more of a vibrant darker olive green.

I found these on clearance for $3.95 each. They had a few bottles from older collections, but these were the only ones that caught my attention.

 OH SH*T, I walked into Icing and what did I find? Probably the best glitter they ever named! Is it original? Not exactly. Is it a Deborah Lippmann dupe? Not exactly. Is it absolutely awesome? Hell yes!

In lieu the upcoming Twilight movie I figured there's no time like the present to swatch some very fitting Icing polishes. For starters, yes, there is a nail polish named Twilight which I've already reviewed here. I've also picked up Vampire's Blood and Witch's Brew.

Vampire's Blood is a fuchsia glitter suspended in a black jelly base.

 Witch's Brew contains green and blue glitter suspended in a black jelly base.


 And here's Twilight...
Twilight is a silver glitter suspended in a black jelly base.

These are all:
Icing polishes.
opaque in two coats.
rather dull without a top coat.
and the only thing that separates them is the glitter inside them.

If you didn't know my favorite color in the whole wide world is gold. So what's better than having it readily available to leer at on my finger tips?


I decided to make my ring finger and thumb accent nails and used Kashmir Gold nail art foil. Quick and easy tutorial for applying nail art foils can be found here. My other nails are Icing Glimmer. 
Glimmer is a more of a beige shimmer with hints of gold and copper glitter. If you're not really into neutrals like myself, you'll love this one.

Yes I know what you're thinking, "such a plain and simple title for a post there Briana." Well nail care isn't a laughing matter LOL. Anyway, I while back I bought a nail strengthener as a preventative measure (something I've always done), but this "strengthener" ruined my nail beds completely! Instead of nail polish just chipping off it chipped off layers of my nail along with it. Stay far far far away from Icing Rock My Nails!!!

How did I fix this problem? Welp, I was in my local Sally Beauty Supply and stumbled upon a $2 off coupon for all Nail Life products, of course being a sucker for "deals," I bought the Nail Life Nail Revitalizer. A few weeks later my nails were back to there pre Rock My Nails state.

Out of the nearly 400 bottles of polish I own only three of them have the color teal in there title. As you're about to find out, this led to a comparison of the three.

Each color shown is two coats without a top coat. As you can see none of these are similar; so, I guess they can all stand in there rightful blue-green state.

By now we've all seen that Kanye West video featuring everybody and their mama, All of the Lights. You know, the one that may or may not be liable for causing a few seizures? Did I go a little too far with that last joke? Maybe. Anyway, after being bombarded with probably one million different colors within a five minute time span. I came up with this little manicure.

And who says television stifles creativity? Aside from the nut job I lived with my freshman year of college? Yup, eat your words please and thank you.

Things you'll need: cosmetic wedges, bundle monster plate BM19, white nail polish, six neon colors of your choosing, black nail polish, and a top coat of your choice.
*L-R NK Nail Enamel Yellow, Sinful Colors Rise and Shine, Sinful Colors Fly Away, Sinful Colors Dream On, NK Nail Enamel Cotton Candy, NK Nail Enamel Orange.

Step 1: Paint all of your nails white.
Step 2: Use cosmetic sponge to apply colored nail polish; repeat for all six colors. Let dry.
Step 3: Using your black nail polish, stamp image from BM19 onto nails.
Step 4: Apply no chip top coat.
Step 5: Sit back and let the compliments roll in.
