China Glaze Crinkled Chrome Swatches

Friday, January 24, 2014nail a college drop out

Press Sample First swatches of 2014 and I've got 3 of the 6 Crinkled Chromes from China Glaze. They're designed to add a "contemporary edge and sense of novelty" to your nail beds, so let's find out how true that statement is.

The formula on these are the same so I'll leave the final review for last.

First up is Wrinkling The Sheets

Out of the three Crinkled Chromes I have, I like the name of this one the most. Why? Well I named my blog Nail A College Drop Out so of course I enjoy a bit of sexual innuendo.
Wrinkling The Sheets is a metallic, light sea foam green texture shown above in one coat.

Next is Don't Be Foiled

Don't Be Foiled is as a soft teal, but it definitely leans more blue. Above is two coats.

And finally, Iron Out The Details

Iron Out The Details is my actual favorite color of the three shades. It's a cool metallic icy blue shown above in two coats.

Overall review:
-Each shade is opaque in one coat, I just decided to try two coats for Iron Out The Details & Don't Be Foiled to see the result.
-Unlike other texture polishes, these don't start out as a creme and dry to a textured finish. In fact, the actual texture effect is just white bar and small circle glitters.
-These were surprisingly easy to work with. All three went on without problems and had a very smooth application.

Are you into this kind of texture polish?
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.
