Today I've got a swatch and review for 3 of the 6 lacquers in Seche's Spring 2014 collection.
I'll kick things off with Head To Toe
Head To Toe is a very pigmented nude cremé. While I do like the color, the formula was less than favorable. The first coat was okay, but the second coat was streaky, and the third didn't self level very well. What you see above is three coats plus top coat.
Next is Buttoned Up
This is described as a lavender cremé with purple shimmer. Buttoned Up was the least problematic of the three shades I received. It reached full opacity in two coats but if you look at my index finger you'll spot some minor dragging. I can tell you that the aforementioned dragging isn't noticeable in real life.
Shown above is two coats without topcoat.
And lastly I have Perfectly Poised
This soft marigold cremé was streaky and had minor issues with self leveling. Albeit nothing shocking because yellows are notoriously finicky. How did I manage to make this shade work? Three coats plus top coat.
The entire Perfectly Poised collection is available starting this month.
Have you tried any of these? Did your experience differ? Let me know in the comments.
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

These are really pretty -Great Spring shades!
ReplyDeleteThese all look great on you. Bummer that the formula on Head To Toe wasn't good for you...my bottle seemed okay, so maybe you just got a bad one! :/

ReplyDeleteI didn't find that problem with my "Head to Toe." Maybe just a fluke bottle. I love this collection.
ReplyDeleteLoe the colors. Too bad about the formula. The certainly look great on your skin tone!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I have these, but haven't tried them yet. I'm curious how my Head to Toe formula will work.
