Press SampleLast Monday the pre-order for Zoya's transitional collection, Naturel Deux, began and today I've got swatches of the three brown hues and a super seamless gradient using the remaining plum based lacquers.


Upon seeing the press release, I immediately fell for Emilia, Chanelle, and Spencer so let's start with swatches of those three beauts.
In order to avoid sounding like a broken record, the formula on all shades in this collection is the same; smooth formula and opaque in two coats.

If I had to choose a #1 fav out of the three brown hued lacquers it would definitely be Emilia. A super dark chocolate créme? Yes please.

Chanelle is a rich toasted almond créme that I'm glad to add to my collection because I'm always on the hunt for more flesh tone nail polishes.
Unfortunately, I didn't notice the lint on my fingernails until after I added my logo. I should probably stop swatching at 3am.

When I read the description for Spencer, I had two thoughts. One, camel créme? Really I've never heard of a camel being referenced as a nail polish color. And the second was a that it would be funny if there was another polish in this collection named Hastings.

And here's the most seamless gradient I've ever done in my life.
I started with a base of Madeline and then sponged on Madeline (again), Aubrey, and Marnie.
After I finished I was really impressed with just how pigmented these lacquers were.

Last night I was feeling really lazy after a long day of work, but I knew I had very little energy to put forth to change my nails from plain to Heeyyyyyyyyy! Thus, the Nail Art Society Festival Princess kit came into play.

Aside from the Summer of Love nail wrap, my kit also came with marquise shaped gold studs (which I lost somewhere in my house after I opened my package), and an NCLA nail polish in I'm With The Band.

See how I punched a heart shaped hole in the Summer of Love Nail Wrap eh?


The wrap itself was beautiful but with the curvature of my nail beds and my lack of skill with these things made it pretty hard for me to use.


Overall, the Nail Art Society Festival Princess Kit was a great bang for your buck at $11.95 + shipping, but in hindsight I probably would've used a blow dryer to try and stretch the wraps.

Nothing To Disclose So I've been wanting a few shades from last year's summer CG collection, and for whatever reason I'm just now getting them. Three cheers for procrastination. Hip hip hooray? *crickets*



As I mentioned earlier, I've been wanting most of the Sunsational collection since it came out last summer, but I was waiting to find it on clearance at Lengths so I never bought it anywhere else. That is until I placed my first Transdesign order! That's Shore Bright and Too Yacht To Handle were standout shades for me so I knew I had to use them asap.

After laying down a the gradient of the two new-to-me China Glaze shades, I opened up my handy dandy indie polish drawer and out came Ooh La Lacquer Hypnotize.


I couldn't quite get That's Shore Bright to photograph accurately in the gradient as it is more cool-toned in real life, so please refer to the product porn photo for a better idea of this gradient really looks like.

Before I go any further I'd like to say that Too Yacht To Handle is everything Aquadelic and For Audrey should have been.


I wore this mani yesterday and I got more compliments on this from my co-workers than any mani (nail art or otherwise) in the last 3-4 months. I guess simple is better to some people.

Press Sample Summer is finally in full swing in Upstate NY--let it be known that the summer weather doesn't last very long--and I've got three easy ways to wear the Zoya Bubbly Collection.


The formula on all the of  the shades in this collection are same; easy to work with jellies. Most were two coaters, others were three.

I started with the combination of my three favs from this collection. From thumb to pinky the colors are Binx, Jesy, and Alma.




Binx is my favorite because, well, it's purple. Need I say more? Well, yeah. I should mention that it took three coats to reach this opacity. Three coats of purple flaky goodness.

Jesy, described by Zoya as a "fiery coral orange," reached the above opacity in two coats.

Alma, Alma, Alma, why couldn't there be a créme version of this in the Tickled Collection? Alma is a more yellow leaning orange jelly packed with flakies that reached the above opacity in two coats.


Generally I am not a pink fan, but I really do appreciate the way Harper looks on her own. Just look at her little cotton candy pink self. All stunning in two coats.


The combo of Muse and Stasi makes me think of a base for bomb subaquatic nail art.
Muse iswas two coats while Stasi is the only other three coater in the collection.

Press Sample Y'all know how much I love créme finishes and nail art so it's only right that I combine the two using the Barielle Vibrants Collections.



A few nights ago I wanted something looked time consuming but really wasn't. After spending a bit of time staring at the six colors in the Vibrants Collection I finally went with a tri-colored with half of the collection. Next I laid down some striping tape and did another gradient with the remaining shades.


Boom. Hello dope ass tape mani!

Press Sample The holiday weekend is over and I have one last patriotic mani to share with you.


This mani is pretty much a mash up of pieces Salon Perfect's Paint the Town Red, White, & Blue Collection.

I started with a base color of  He's With Me on all of my nails. For my index and pinky I used Grand Finale and Starred & Striped.

On my middle and ring fingers I used some stickers from the Star Struck Nail Decal Kit.
And finally for my thumb, I used Fool's Gold.

It's July 4th! My tummy will be filled with tons of bbq, and maybe Patron, but right now let's chat nails!


I went with something simple using a few lacquers from Salon Perfect's Paint the Town Red, White, and Blue Collection.
I started with a base color of Wild Blue Yonder. Then, I followed up with a few dabs of Twinkle Twinkle. Next, I used my fav shade from this collection, Save Me A Spot. And when it was all said and done, I finished it off with two coats of Crystal Clear.


The limited edition Salon Perfect Paint the Town Red, White, and Blue Collection retails for $3.98 per bottle at Walmart. If your local Wally World is anything like mine, you'll probably find these shades next month in the miscellaneous beauty clearance bin.
